Subject: My visit to New Delhi
Dear Misra,
I am just beginning to get caught up here after being away for the India program. I have to tell you that of all the places I have visited with their fancy facilities etc. the most enjoyable visit has been my visit to India.
Misra, you have a great team, a facility that is second to none in the world. Your personal dedication, leadership and teaching abilities will see India develop as one of the strongest trauma program in the world at a time when this is sorely needed. The sheer size of your population will offer you the opportunity to be the greatest force in trauma education and trauma care in the world. Subash and you have chosen well in your instructor and educator teams. I am most grateful to have had the opportunity of being part of this major milestone in India history. On a personal level it was great meeting some truly wonderful people among the physicians, educators and your superbly dedicated coordinators and other support staff.
You are truly fortunate to have members of your government who are obviously supportive of your efforts.
May God guide in your path to improving trauma care in your beloved country.
Your Dear friend and colleague,
Jameel
